Back up Equipment

We feature the largest lighting display of any mobile dj in Northeast Iowa. It is a Top-of-the-Line Intelligent lighting system with many different visual effects that change continuously depending on the beat of the current song track. This light show is not to be confused with pseudo DJ's that have lightshows that consist of a few blinking colored lightbulbs mounted inside a wooden crate! (Yes... they really are out there in our local area.) Really we have nothing against blinking lightbulbs (we ran 2 full sets of them for 12 years), we just think that those were not enough, so we now bring two complete sets of high quality LED effects bars. They move, they change effects, and so much more. This show is the real deal. Lasers, color changing LED's, synchronized moving LED spot lights, and strobes.  Yes, they can just blink if we wanted them to, but where is the fun in that?
     Want to really throw in the WOW? Ask about adding color changing accent uplighting? Party Express was THE FIRST DJ in the tri-states to make this available. Of course at first we couldn't start with just one of these awesome lights... so we purchased four... and have expanded to twenty!

Have you ever been to a party where "Technical Difficulties" was the theme of the night? Even worse, ever been to a wedding where the DJ has blown an amp and is scrambling to find a back-up unit within 20 miles?! For a wedding, there is only one chance and limited time to get it right. All of that planning to make the day run perfectly smooth can be lost in a split second when an amp goes out. Guests will sadly remember the wedding as "the one where the dance started 2 hours late and most of the guests left 2 hours early." DJ equipment doesn't last forever, that is why Party Express is prepared. All equipment is kept in optimal working condition, maintained regularly and replaced as soon as necessary. Furthermore, full back-up equipment including amps and speakers are always available, ON-SITE.

Visual Lighting & Effects

When we say we are the "Platinum Quality Standard" we have the equipment to match. Party Express uses the highest quality audio system. You want a professional show and we offer professional grade sound equipment. I usually show up much earlier than anticipated to ensure that my system is neat and in exceptional working order. Additional speakers are available on-site and can be added depending on the arrangements of the facility and the acoustics. Complete stereo surround is standard for most large events. One of the only dj's anywhere around that offers this. Our 2 in 1 music system is controlled primarily through computer software, but can be run independent of the computer instantly by manually mixing cd changers. Nothing worse then a break in the music because of a software glitch.

Music

Where the DJ system is set at your event is vitally important. The DJ system is to be placed in an area directly next to the dance floor, and that the DJ have a good line of sight to the entrance of the room, head table and cake table. As your Master of Ceremonies, we need to be able to see each of these areas in order to control the timing of each. It is not a good idea to surround your dance floor on all four sides with tables. Remember, our speakers need to carry sound to the dance area. If there are tables directly between the speakers and the dance floor, the guests seated at those tables will have an uncomfortable level of sound. If you have guests seated in an adjacent area or room, we can provide additional speakers so that all your guests can hear the announcements and music at a comfortable level. A nominal charge will apply for this customized speaker package.
